Putting on the General; Dressing the Lady

JANUARY 13, 2018
AN INNS OF THE GETTYSBURG AREA EVENT

Veteran reenactors, Patrick and Joanne Dunigan, will entertain and educate us at a luncheon at noon at the Dobbin House. Patrick is a member of Officers for the Union, an elite group of men who each portray a General they have carefully studied. Joanne is an accomplished seamstress and an expert on period dress. Each will share their story on how they became involved and what they have learned throughout the years.

For anyone who has considered becoming a reenactor, this is a not to be missed event. In the evening we will join the Civil War Dance group at the Fairfield Town Hall for an informal evening of Civil War dance. Beginners are welcome, and once again this is a perfect introduction to Civil War dance steps. $55 for adults; $40 for children 10 and under. A luncheon buffet will be served.
